Gaol - Closed for the Season

The Olde Gaol Museum is closed to the public for the season. We will re-open on Saturday, May 26th, 2012 with more space and new exhibits.

This year will feature an extensive display of Japanese items from the personal collection of Marg Cosh.

The VCHS acknowledges the generous support of the Ontario Trillium Foundation in the creation of the Olde Gaol Museum.

To collect, preserve, exhibit and publish material pertaining to the history of the County of Victoria in particular and to Canadian historical records generally
To acquire documents and manuscripts and obtain narratives and records of pioneers
To maintain a gallery of historical portraits and an historical museum
To publish and diffuse information relative to the history of the County of Victoria and in general to encourage and develop within the county of Victoria, the study of its history
